The jax 48 hour film project is a wild and sleepless weekend where filmmakers and their teams write, shoot, and edit a film in just 48 hours. On the first night, teams select a genre at random. they are then given a character, prop, and line to include in their films. on the third night the filmmaking teams race the clock in a wild dash to drop off their film before the deadline. the film is then screened at a local theatre in front of an audience of filmmakers, friends, families, and local community. winning film will go on to compete  at filmapalooza with other international winners. this is the world's oldest and largest timed filmmaking competition. The 48hfp is about creativity, fun and celebrating filmmaking as a community.
